Alan Doherty, a graduate of Ballyfermot College of Further Education, is a leading Irish flutist and co-founder of the acclaimed traditional groups Gráda and Aldoc and was the lead soloist on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Alan has recorded and produced albums for artists such as Christy Moore and Julie Fowlis, and regularly collaborates with leading Irish artists such as Damien Dempsey and Kíla. Alan is renowned for his unique and innovative style, with his arrangements, compositions, and live performances being central to his music.
